Refex

Refex products represent a revolutionary advance in pH measurement technology that solves the key weakness of the reference electrode in standard probe technologies.  These standard technologies depend upon having a porous junction to provide electrochemical connection between the probe’s reference electrode and the process flow being measured.  This necessary contact with process fluid allows chemical interaction with the internal liquid in the reference half-cell, commonly causing measurement drift and leading to sensor failure, particularly in harsh applications.  By comparison, Refex pH reference electrodes are constructed from an advanced polymers which provides the electrochemical connection without any direct liquid contact. This eliminates the measurement stability and reduced probe life problems found in standard probes.  The construction method of Refex sensors uses the whole body of the probe to provide the reference connection, massively reducing measurement error introduced by material in the process coating the outside of the probe.  Refex pH sensors are reliable, accurate, stable, and give exceptionally long life (even in harsh petrochemical roles probes can be expected to last over 12 months), providing real savings in maintenance costs and increases in process quality
